Fix or delete a drink you logged
A log is only worth keeping if it is honest, so everything in it can be corrected.
Right away
An Undo button appears for a moment after every tap — on the Today screen, that is the fastest fix there is.
Later the same day
- Scroll down the Today screen to “Today’s log”. Every drink is listed with its amount, its type and the time.
- Tap one to open it. You can change the amount, the drink and the date and time it was drunk.
- Save — or tap Delete at the bottom of the same sheet.
- To remove one outright, the × beside it in the list does it in one tap.
A glass you forgot to log
Tap + on the Today screen, set the amount, and move the time picker to when you actually drank it. It reaches back a week, so a glass from yesterday evening goes to yesterday, where it belongs.
What changes with it
- Today's total and your companion's mood update immediately.
- Whether the day counted as a goal day — and so your streak, your gifts and the next newborn — is worked out again.
- If Apple Health sync is on, the matching sample is corrected or removed. A drink that came from Health is not deleted from Health, but it will not be imported again.
- Deleting today's drinks never takes a companion away: the newest one stays where it is in its growth rather than jumping backwards.
Correcting an earlier day
A past day is judged against the goal it had at the time, so moving a forgotten glass back to Tuesday can turn Tuesday into a goal day — and the gift, the decoration or the newborn that depended on it follows.
FAQ
- Can I delete everything and start again?
- Deleting and reinstalling the app clears it completely. Take a backup first if you might want it back.
- Does editing a drink change my goal?
- No. The goal is set in Settings; editing only changes what counts toward it.
- I logged water that came from my smart bottle twice.
- Delete the duplicate in Today’s log. Sippy will not import that Health sample again.
Sippy is a reminder and a record of what you drink, not medical advice. Its suggested goal follows published guidance for healthy adults, and the app is for ages 14 and up. If you have heart, kidney or liver disease, low blood sodium, take diuretics, or have been told to limit fluids, ask your doctor before setting a goal.
Drink water, grow cute cats
Sippy nudges you only when you are behind, logs a glass in one tap from the Lock Screen, and grows a cat farm — or a tiny forest — as the goal days add up. Free, no ads, and nothing leaves your iPhone.
