Terms of Use
Last updated: November 2, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of Novaz: Water Reminder, Tracker (the “App”) and our website (together, the “Services”). Our Privacy Policy also applies. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the Services. We may revise these Terms, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
Not medical advice
Sippy is a reminder and a record of what you drink. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it makes no weight-loss claims. The daily goal it suggests is a general figure built from published guidance for healthy adults — EFSA’s adequate intake for water from drinks, adjusted for activity, climate, pregnancy, breastfeeding and, optionally, body weight. It is not a recommendation about your own body.
The App is intended for people aged 14 and over. If you have heart, kidney or liver disease, low blood sodium, take diuretics, or have been told to limit fluids, speak to your doctor before setting a goal and use the figure they give you. Drinking far more water than your kidneys can clear is not harmless. If you feel unwell, contact a health professional; in an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
The Services
Sippy lets you set a daily drinking goal, schedule reminders around your own hours, log what you drink, review your history and streaks, exchange water records with Apple Health if you choose to, and look after a set of on-screen companions that grow as your goal days add up. Our website provides information and how-to guides.
Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee
Reminders are delivered by your device’s operating system. Whether one arrives depends on things outside our control, including your notification permissions, Focus modes, silent mode, Scheduled Summary, Low Power Mode, how many notifications your device will hold at once, the battery, and whether the device is switched on. They are a nudge, not a safety system.
Your data is on your device
Everything you log, along with your goal, settings and companions, is stored in the App’s own database on your device. We never receive it, and there is no account to recover it from. Deleting the App deletes it. Keeping a backup file is your responsibility, and restoring one replaces everything currently in the App. We are not able to recover data that has been deleted or overwritten.
Your responsibilities
- You may use the Services only if you are 14 years or older.
- You are responsible for the goal you set and for what you enter, and for keeping both in line with any advice you have been given by a health professional.
- You are responsible for checking that reminders are arriving as you expect, and for acting on them.
Subscriptions
Sippy PRO is an optional auto-renewable subscription, offered weekly, monthly or yearly. The weekly plan may include a free trial for new subscribers. The price and period are shown in the App before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends, and is processed by Apple.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; PRO stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. You can restore PRO on another device signed in to the same Apple Account with Restore Purchases in the App.
PRO unlocks every accessory, farm decoration and rare coat right away, your full history month by month, and weekly insights. Reminders, logging, the goal, the last 30 days of stats, streaks, widgets, the Apple Watch app, Apple Health and backups are free for everyone.
